Chlorhexidine, one of the ingredients of GlenHaven Y/S, is an antibacterial agent effective against most gram-negative and -positive bacteria (except pseudomonas). It is also a good antiseptic and disinfectant and does not have de-greasing or keratolytic activity. In general, chlorhexidine can delay wound healing and thus should not be used for prolonged periods on granulating lesions.
Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Gluconate 4%
Directions: Shake the bottle well before use. After wetting your Pet's coat, bathe your Pet first using GlenHaven H/S Shampoo and rinse. Massage a small amount of GlenHaven Y/S into your Pet's wet coat until lightly lathered. Leave the lather on your Pet for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use daily or as directed by your veterinarian. For best results, use a GlenHaven conditioner after bathing and between baths.
Precautions: For topical use only. Keep out of reach of children and Pets. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, flush eyes with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
