GlenHaven Y/S is an antiseptic shampoo for Pets with yeast, ringworm or bacterial skin infections. It is commonly used to prevent and treat Malassezia dermatitis and pyoderma.
Chlorhexidine, the active ingredient of GlenHaven Y/S, is an antibacterial agent effective against most bacteria that infect the skin (except Pseudomonas). It is also a good antiseptic and disinfectant and is gentle on the skin. In general, chlorhexidine can delay wound healing and thus should not be used for prolonged periods on open wounds.
Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Gluconate 4%
Directions: Shake the bottle well before use. After wetting your Pet's coat, bathe your Pet first using GlenHaven H/S Shampoo and rinse. Massage GlenHaven Y/S into your Pet's wet coat until lightly lathered. Leave the lather on your Pet for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use daily or as directed by your veterinarian. For best results, use a GlenHaven conditioner after bathing and between baths.
Precautions: For topical use only. Keep out of reach of children and Pets. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, flush eyes with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
