Rejuvenate
Chewable
For dog use only
Rejuvenate is a liver-flavored chewable tablet that provides glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, green-lipped mussel and hyaluronic acid balanced with omega-3 fatty acids, minerals and antioxidants to help maintain healthy canine joint function and connective tissue.
Healthy joints are not only important in the ability and willingness of dogs to perform well, but also for comfort in walking, climbing and general movement. Joints consist of a joint cavity filled with synovial fluid that serves as both a lubricant and source of nutrition, a joint membrane and articular cartilage that acts as a shock absorber. These components are continually being "rebuilt" to maintain strength and resilience. If any of the building blocks of these components are not available in adequate amounts, stiffness and soreness results. These conditions are commonly seen in large breeds and active or elderly dogs.
Key components of Rejuvenate include:
- * Glucosamine HCl is the key building block for making cartilage. Recent reports in veterinary literature validated the benefits of glucosamine (and chondroitin) in maintaining joint health and supporting mobility and activity in dogs of all ages and sizes.
- * Chondroitin sulfate protects existing cartilage and slows its breakdown. Rejuvenate contains low molecular weight (<20,000 Daltons) chondroitin, which appears to be readily absorbed.
- * Green-lipped mussel is a natural source of concentrated glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) as well as complex proteins, amino acids, nucleic acids, naturally chelated minerals and an inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis.
- * Methsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a natural anti-inflammatory agent that provides sulfur essential to cartilage formation.
- * Hyaluronic acid helps maintain the viscosity of joint fluid to prevent erosion of articular cartilage.
- * Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is a long chain omega-3 fatty acid capable of modifying inflammatory responses, preventing bone loss and improving bone strength and density.
- * Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid important in the production of prostaglandins, pain regulation and support of immune functions.
- * Yucca is rich in saponins that elevate the body's production of cortisone to aid in antiinflammatory actions for joint support.
- * Boswellia has anti-inflammatory properties comparable to phenylbutazone and other NSAIDs. Boswellic acids may inhibit leukotrienes, substances similar to prostaglandins.
- * Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a potent antioxidant that is also important for the formation of bone and cartilage.
- * Manganese, copper and zinc are essential in biochemical reactions that help form cartilage.
